Favorite Brotherhood Memory:
It was a particular blessing to see the Brothers as they passed through Minnesota on summer vacations while I was in college.
Brotherhood's Impact:
While visiting BU on an accepted students' weekend, (now Br.) Clinton gave my mom and me an informal tour of the Catholic Center. In that 20-minute visit I experienced the burning in my heart like the disciples on the road to Emmaus – the Holy Spirit said, "This is where you belong!" My formation through the Brothers' ministry solidified and deepened my love for our Lord and His Church at a time when many of my friends from high school youth group fell away. Furthermore, upon returning to Minnesota, my husband and I became involved in the Community of Christ the Redeemer, which has blessed our family in numerous ways by providing continual opportunities for growth in discipleship and living radical family life.
My Service:
We love opening our home and regularly have people staying with us short- or long-term. Most recently the Lord has called us to start welcoming foster kids.
